Reigate's Stupidity Leads To Another Loss

<p>Despite plenty of people not around we fortunately had the return of Sammy B and Gary Dean to the fold for Reigate and we were confident of getting a result. The first 40 minutes was a very close affair with both sides having chances with the best coming from Driver sliding one just wide after a great through ball from Alex Smith. Godstone had plenty of chances as well but didn't trouble us at all until they made a breakthrough when another silly foul led to a free kick on the edge of the box which eluded everyone and found the far corner. Then 2 minutes later confusion at the back led to a one on one where Wigley stepped up and booted the striker leading to a clear penalty which was put away. We'd gone from 0-0 and on top to 2-0 within minutes. We hit back after the break when Driver found O'Keeffe who played a ball over the top and Sammy B the clubs leading goalscorer showed he hadn't lost it when he lobbed the keeper beautifully. If we'd have held out for a little longer we would have been back in the game but almost instantly Godstone replied but it was over when they scored a 4th after their striker slipped past Driver and an unfortunate ricochet off Wigley allowed the striker to nod the ball into an empty net. Once again we showed our class with another team proclaiming us as the toughest team they had faced and once againit was ridiculous constant silly fouls that cost us. Back to training on Tuesday before our last game before the winter break against Holland Sports.
