New Look Reigate Go Down But Show Signs Of A Promising New Era

<p>A completely new look Reigate took to the field with the only survivors from the last game of the season being Driver, Perlesha, Tulley, Bradley and Lovell but despite the scoreline we looked promising with new additions and the return of 2 vital players. The first half we played very well despite conceding 4 silly goals, due in part to a makeshift defence and a bit of luck here and there but couldn't really create much up to with our best chance coming from Carroll making a run through the middle and having his curling shot from the edge punched away in fine style from the keeper. At times there was some great link up play from all players but we just seemed to not be able to create many chances against a very solid Godstone defence. The second half started and despite a silly goal early doors we really got into the game and probably had the better of the exchanges in the last 20 minutes with Driver failing to convert 2 guilt edge chances after 2 great crosses from Mikey. It was always going to be tough adapting to a new shape with plenty of new faces and felt like starting from scratch all over again, our fitness held up quite well and that will improve with playing every week and hopefully we can go on and get a result against Aperfield next week in our 2nd Pre-Season Friendly.
