Young Coulsdon No Match For Reigate's Hardy Warriors

We turned up expecting a tough game vs a young and hungry Coulsdon side looking to make their mark in the league. Both sides had opportunities early with some great saves produced by both keepers keeping it level. Reigate made the breakthrough when a Coulsdon defender attempted to clear it but the ball struck his hand after a miskick and Reigate were awarded a penalty. Alex Smith made no mistake and it was 1-0, again Coulsdon came at us and should have had a penalty which was mistakenly given as a free kick. We made it 2 shortly before half time though when Filipe took a shot and the keeper spilled it into the path of Josh who finished well.

Half time came and we felt confident we could win the game now and we continued to push which eventually rewarded us with a 3rd as a big goalmouth scramble ensued and after 3 attempts blocked on the line Tom Woodman came steaming in and made sure it wasn't blocked again lashing it high into the net. After this point it was cruise control for Reigate, Coulsdon had fought valiantly and were unlucky with some decisions but they had given up when 10 minutes before the end Woodman and Josh combined for Josh to run through and finish 1 on 1. The rout was sealed when the keeper was given a poor backpass and was tackled by Jon who knocked it past him and finished from a tough angle. A great and deserved victory which now makes us 3 from 3 and puts us top of the league. Hopefully this could be the year... Hopefully
