RS back to the league after a knockout win on the cup.
A fully fit Adrian back to marshalled the defensive line along with Patrik jnr flanked by Uncle Paul & Johnson. Skipper SB anchoring the midfield & Rooy leads the line.
A bright start from RS created a few chance to score the first goal of the game, however the final pass is lacking & the effort go non rewarded.
As usual, a lack of concentration let the opponent in & score the first goal. RS try to regroup, WL received a quick throw in from Uncle Paul & skip past a challenge to drive at the heart of opponent defence, SB who run from deep to support the attack is waiting at the middle from WL pass, unfortunately WL's pass is obvious & weak, the last defender intercepted & clear.
On the stroke of half time, RS conceded a corner. From the corner, Uncle Paul try to head clear the ball but runs into the space occupied by Edmund, Edmund blinded by the jump & headed the ball into own net.
Coach Mr.xXx make a few substitution to raise the spirit of the team, the team responded with a guts performance from the team. Pressure the opponent with greater intensity & continuous create chances. 5 mins after second hafl, Rooy receive a pass at 30 yards away, take a look & shape himself to take shot, the ball flew like to rocket & destined for the top corner, unfortunately luck is not with RS today, the ball hit the bar & clear by opponent.
Rooy, who warm up prior the game with crossbar challenge was clearly affected by the missed as he didn't thought he able to hit the bar so many times. Coach Mr.xXx encourage him to keep shooting.
Minden FC score a rocket from similar range that Rooy take a shot, luck is with them though as his shot flew past Adie into the top corner.
RS did claw a goal back with Rooy moments after their third goal, a pass from Ad found Rooy, he saw the space behind the defender & drive at it, draw the keeper out & pass it into the empty net.
RS spirit is lifted & further pressure opponent, a sweet through pass from Rooy found Kelvin through on goal, with only keeper to beat Kelvin failed to put his shot with any power, keeper save it with ease. if he shoot it either side of the keeper that's a goal.
Ref blow the final whistle, RS down with 3 goals to 1.
