The mid-week friendly presented an opportunity for Saturn to try their new formation. With BSLau injured while shooting plane at home, Saturn welcome back SayWin and restored the tireless winger supporting the attacks. SayWin did not disappoint and created the first chance with an accurate cross to WL, only for WL to mis-timed the shot.
RS was soon down a goal in the 7th minute. JGT's left winger dodged and sprinted passed Allan, sent a looping cross into the net. GK Zhui mis-judged the shot in thinking it was a cross, but the shot just flew into the top right of the net. Zhui could have done better but he just stood and did not move.
Midfield general Chardy controlled the tempo and orchestrating RS's offensive plays. Having SB disrupting JGT's attacks, Chardy had been given license to roam around and boss around the central midfield.
RS replied soon after, SayWin combined well with Chardy and hit a cross deep into the dangerous area of JGT. JGT defender panicked and handle the ball with his right hand. Referee Din pointed to the spot for penalty without a need of VAR. Up step Zhui calmly sent JGT keeper to the wrong side and scored. RS leveled the scored to 1-1.
Allan Arnold enjoyed the night with several track-back by sending some inch-perfect tackles stopping JGT's winger from dribbling passed. While Allan Arnold keeping JGT's winger quiet, Adrian was bossing the defence, hacking away dangers.
RS Kecex Firmino raced 20 yards, looked up and sent a curling cross into the penalty box. WL felt and miss the clear header. Kecex finding opportunities dribbling passed JGT's Chan and paced thru Chan with ease. Certainly Kecex did not look like someone who donated red liquid a few hours earlier on.
Nip Giroud had a quiet game and have 0 shot on target. A game Nip should have scored and proof the doubters into believers.
