Improved Performance From RS

RS paired against Arkib FC in the first round of FIZ Champions League. RS play the first leg as away side.

RS coach Mr.xXx started the game with their usual 451. RS start the game brightly with a decent period of possession, but their attacking play easily broke down with their right & left winger Lau & Kelvin respectively not in good form. Keep giving the ball away cheaply, lacked of energy to chase the loose ball.

RS removed theirs winger in the second half & send on skipper SB together with new signing Taka, make it a midfield diamond formation. RS started create more chances.

A corner from Rooy clear by Arkib FC defender at the near post, Rooy recovered the clearance & pass to James, who is running non-stop after replacing the obvious tired Johnson, James control the pass, take a look on the penalty area, shaping to send in a cross but slightly overhit it, Arkib keeper try to read the cross to collect the ball resulted shocked by the flight of the rm500 worth match ball, caught grabbing thin air in no man land.

RS continue to press for second goal to kill off the game. Arkib FC try to play out from defence intercepted by the ever energetic YY, his short pass to Rooy, who turn the defender & send a thunderous shot into the top right corner of the goal, sealed the game for RS.

RS take an 2 away goals back to the home turf for the second leg, progress to the next round seems the only way for RS.

After match, Kapsiao.com interviewed RS Coach Mr.xXx that he seen bemoans at the touch line, he mentioned that Rooy never score an easy goal, he only score stunner. Guess this gonna be a song sing by the supporter to Rooy from now on.
