After a few heavy downpours during the night the pitch that greeted both teams was very wet and muddy especially in the goal areas and in the middle.

Real Rosehill captained for the first time by Ben Stonham in a game that was bigged up by both teams who have connections with Varndean College.

Starting in a 3-5-2 formation the game started slowly with Real Rosehill having 90% of the posession in the first 20 minutes without a goal but plenty of long range efforts.

The pitch did not lend itself to Real Rosehill's quick passing game and for much of the first half the ball getting stuck in the middle of the field.

Real Rosehill opened the scoring in the 20th minute and at half time they were 4-0 up. Half time came with In Pulse barely venturing into the Real Rosehill half and not getting into the final third once.

After the break Rosehill went close many times and scored their 5th in the 50th minute. A tactical change to a 3-4-3 formation saw the ball continually being delivered wide and was splitting the In Pulse defence at every opportunity.

Three substitutions were made in the 70th minutes when the score was 6-0 and Rosehill's fitness and superiority showed through. An unbelievable 10 goals were scored in the last 19 minutes for Real Rosehill to win 16-0. Louis scoring a hatrick in 12 minutes.

Real Rosehill should have had at least 20 with some great saves by the keeper and the post being hit 3 times and another 3 just over the bar from distance.

Everyone scored an 8 with man of the match Ryan Defreitas for a superb performance and a hat trick. Special mention also to Louis for his hat trick and Max scoring 2 in his first full game, especially his last goal.

A classy performance in difficult conditions - felt sorry for Brandon Wells of In Pulse who thought that his team really had a chance.

The game was played in a good spirit although on a couple of occasions could have boiled over due to the frustration of the In Pulse number 8 who was their best player by far.

10 games played now - won 9 and drawn 1 and lost 0 - 58 goals for in the league and 10 against - a goal difference of 48 which is amazing and is the best of any team in all 9 divisions in the Sussex Sunday Football League.

Well done lads and excellent performance and hopefully a bit of credit should go to Tony Woods, the Real Rosehill manager who has been criticised recently but who has hardly put a foot wrong. If only he was a little quieter at times on the touch line and was a little Ricky Gervais type with his own brand of dancing and humour with the choad dance from the touch line:)

On to the next games including the Junior Cup semi final - class!!!
