Neutral league match
On the morning of 8 November 2025, Pro Shottas U15 hosted Whitehall at Blenheim A in a league neutral fixture that kicked off promptly at 9:00am. The 70-minute contest ended in a 2-1 victory for Whitehall, leaving Pro Shottas to rue missed opportunities in a tightly contested encounter.
Pro Shottas lined up in a 4-2-3-1 formation, aiming to balance defensive solidity with attacking creativity. Christopher Palmer took his place between the sticks as goalkeeper, shielded by a back four comprising Shakobi Jordan at right back, Zayne Galt and Keiji Miller as central defenders, and Xavier Holder operating on the left flank. The midfield double pivot featured Raiden Lee and Tye Gittens tasked with both breaking up play and initiating attacks. Ahead of them, the attacking trio consisted of Rajae Holder on the right wing, Kaleb Catwell centrally positioned as the attacking midfielder, and Dominic Pererra on the left. Leading the line was striker C’jae Nichols, expected to spearhead the offensive efforts. On the bench, Pro Shottas had Kevio Bellamy, Jaaziel Codogan, and Samuel Campion ready to make an impact if called upon.
The match began with a swift blow to Pro Shottas’ hopes as Whitehall struck early, finding the net in the third minute to take an immediate lead. This early goal set the tone for a challenging morning for the home side, who struggled to settle in the opening exchanges. Whitehall doubled their advantage in the 24th minute, further testing Pro Shottas’ resilience and defensive organisation.
Despite the early setbacks, Pro Shottas sought to regain control through their midfield pairing and attacking midfielders, looking to create chances for Nichols up front. However, the game took a further twist just before half-time when Rajae Holder was forced off injured in the 35th minute, replaced by Kevio Bellamy. This substitution disrupted the rhythm of the attacking midfield line and coincided with the interval shortly after.
At half-time, Pro Shottas faced a two-goal deficit but remained determined to mount a comeback in the second period. Their efforts bore fruit in the 53rd minute when Dominic Pererra delivered a precise cross into the box, allowing Kaleb Catwell to execute a clinical volley with his right foot from close range, halving the deficit and reigniting hope for the hosts.
As the match progressed, tactical changes were introduced to inject fresh energy and alter the dynamic. In the 66th minute, Jaaziel Codogan replaced left back Xavier Holder, signalling a shift in defensive approach. Shortly after, Samuel Campion came on for striker C’jae Nichols in the 68th minute, indicating a desire to bolster attacking options and chase an equaliser.
Despite these adjustments and increased pressure, Pro Shottas were unable to find the crucial second goal. Whitehall’s defence held firm, and the visitors managed to see out the remainder of the match to secure a hard-fought 2-1 victory.
The contest showcased moments of quality from both sides, with Pro Shottas demonstrating resilience and attacking intent, but ultimately falling short against a clinical Whitehall side who capitalised on early chances to claim all three points.
