Ringmer AFC II 4 vs 2 Preston Manor Royals

A gallant effort with a squad low on numbers and injury free players.

We firstly appreciate the attendance of Matt Howard, Tyler Banting and Mike Serrao who despite still recovering from injuries turned out the the Royals to give us a decent chance of getting a result ????.

Firstly my apologies for the late match report which will not be in depth due to my limited attendance but from the 40 minutes I observed and the Veo footage I can see we gave it a good go and barring the oppositions 4 goal hero we certainly may have had a chance of nicking a result.

Highlight of the game was Jake Arherton’s cheeky nut meg followed by a 35 swerving drive in the top right of the net giving the keeper no chance. ( Candidate for goal of the season for sure)

Great one touch finish by Gill to give us a late flurry but unfortunately not to be.

With one game to go our prize for this season maybe fifth place and the only team to beat BN Dons in the league.

A task we are more than capable of achieving.

First season in a new division with the injuries we have had to endure we deserve a strong finish,.
