Home friendly match
A makeshift squad for the Warriors first outing ended in a 4:0 loss. The game almost didn't go ahead following the refs insistence on being able to see the lines. However after marking out the pitch with cones we were good to go.
Introductions were made as members of the squad met for the first time before we kicked off the first game of hopefully many for Phoenix Inham Warriors.
The warriors dominated the first half with Cain Constantine coming close. The warriors managed to hit the post but the goal remained elusive.
Cal the Dragon was called in to make some Man of the Match winning saves before Bradley Bonner gave away a penalty with an unfortunate tackle. 1:0 Radford on the stroke of half times. Warriors started the first half well but fitness soon told as Radford went 2:0 up. Some last ditch defending from Darren Keetley and a save from Cal couldn't keep it out. Cal limped off injured and Issac went in goal. The versatile keeper had been playing centre back and full back through the game. Unfortunately tired legs soon conceded a 3rd and a 4th on the stroke of full time.
A great performance from the lads and all can hold their heads up high that they held their own against a very tough side. Onwards and upwards for the Warriors.
