One Win Away

<p>Ouston closed to within 1 win of the DDSL division 1 title with a 3-1 victory at Durham County Seniors.<br>Ouston were dominant throughout, but for a 10 minute spell in the 2nd half, against a depleted Durham County Seniors side, with the seniors goal leading a charmed life due to good goalkeeping, a number of defensive blocks on the line and some wayward Ouston finishing.<br>The breakthrough came midway through the first half, route 1 style, Ouston keeper, Dom McMahon's long kick was flicked on by Chad Brennan, and slotted home by top scored Andrew Clarkson.<br>Clarkson was the felled on the stroke of half time, and skipper Mark Bailes scored from the resulting free kick, however the Seniors keeper may have felt he could've done better.<br>Ouston made it 3 nil on around 65 minutes, substitute Reece Hutchinson's cross was too high for Clarkson, but his flicked header was helped home by Michael Ross.<br>Then came Ouston's 10 minute lapse during which Seniors pulled a goal back with a cracking finish, but after missing a host more chances between then and the end, Ouston saw out the game 3-1.<br>Mark Bailes taking the MOM plaudits.<br> <br><br>
