Dunamis FC Edge Past Omaandje Sports Club In Tight Contest

On 18 May 2024, at the Ella Du Plessis High School Sports Field, Omaandje Sports Club faced off against Dunamis FC in an intense league away match. Kick-off was set for 8:30 am, and it was Dunamis FC who came away with a narrow 1-0 victory, thanks to a stunning long-range strike in the second half.

Omaandje Sports Club lined up in a 3-4-2-1 formation, which is characterised by a solid defensive structure complemented by a dynamic midfield. Kumo Hindjou took his place in goal, while a trio of defenders comprised Nokoo Gurirab on the right, Erhud "Figo" Paulino centrally, and Sackey Shishake on the left. The midfield was packed with creativity, featuring Seth Mentor on the right, Silas Filimon and Sunday Shilunga centrally, and Markus Imbili on the left. Up front, Shawn Zamunu and Tangeni Ndjuluwa operated as attacking midfielders, supporting the lone striker Eliaser Nanyemba.

The 3-4-2-1 formation is designed to provide a strong defensive base while allowing for quick transitions into attack. The defenders were tasked with maintaining a solid backline, while the midfielders needed to control the tempo of the game, providing width and support to the forwards. The dual attacking midfielders were expected to exploit spaces between the opposition’s lines, creating goal-scoring opportunities for Nanyemba.
