Home league match
A late equaliser ensures a hard earned point despite playing around 70 minutes with only 10 men.
A great start from Oak who scored early through Joe Wilson, were pegged back by the first of multiple dodgy decisions by the match official.
Being over 30 yards away, the decision to say the ball was over the line caused tensions to rise.
A second goal for Oak by Gary Atkinson walking it around the keeper, gave us the advantage of being 2-1 up quite early in the game.
Already on a yellow after a late, but needed challenge during a break by Kingsbury, Aaron Tong was shown a 2nd yellow and red card, for a deliberate handball, which some say didn't even touch his hand.
Kingsbury were more annoyed they were unable to take a quick free kick and get on with the game. This could have saved Tong, however it was not to be.
Half time then couldn't come quick enough on an ever increasing warm day to re-group.
A bit of an attack vs defence mentality in the 2nd half, did eventually lead to an equaliser from a corner scramble 20 minutes from time.
Kingsbury then struck again around the 80 minute mark, after the ball went over the head of Drew Moran, and bounced kindly for the on rushing attacker before Rich Wallis could get close enough to challenge, leaving an easy lob in to the empty net.
Pressure from Oak then came to a head when Gary Atkinson had the ball in the corner, turned the defender and stormed towards the area. The defender had enough of this mockery by Atkinson, and hacked him down just outside the area.
Free kick Oak, and Steve Watson took the set-piece which caused issues for the Kingsbury keeper who couldn't hold the ball. James Wilson darted in after a few sweeps of the ball missed by others, and drilled it in to the net through legs of a few players on the line.
A well deserved point, however Oak Road left feeling what could have been had 11 men been on the pitch continuing the Great start.
Attention turns to the league cup away at Preston next Sunday to begin a good cup run in at least one of the 2 competitions this season.
