Still buzzing from yesterday games. Just shows what this squad is capable of now, they have set the standard for the rest of the season now. We knew it was going to be a very tough game and its strange walking off losing and feeling like it was a win.

Full credit to each and every player, they all did their bit and followed the game plan. They never let their heads go down, did not moan or complain, they all worked so hard for one another and really put a shift in.

Scoring at the end of first half with a fine ball coming in (I believe from Alfie) and Jared glancing a header past their keeper was just rewards for how hard they all worked. Coming in at half time 5-1 down we could easily have collapsed and conceded more goals in the second half. We could not praise the lads enough and challenged them try and concede less than 5 in the second half.

The second half performance blew us all away conceding only one and frustrating the Redditch players into playing long ball tactics and they quickly ran out of ideas.

Man of the match this week went to George Downing. A fine performance with some fantastic no nonsense defending at times. He was winning headers, putting in strong tackles, clearing his lines when needed and then had the calmness on the ball to play out when he could. George is going to have a massive impact on this team with performances like and that and looked very comfortable playing against players at this level. Well done George great start.
