Match Report - BOROUGH ALLIANCE JUNIOR U14 MJPL - 21 Sep 2024

Top, top performance again from every player in the squad yesterday to secure our second win of the season. Fantastic start for them – winning 2 out of our first 3 games. Well done to everyone.

First half, we did not start well and struggled to get going with missed passes, missed tackles and not following the runners, but as the game went on the more we got back in to it. Unfortunate to give a goal away in the first half and to come in 1 nil down.

Second half with a bit of a gee up at half time, the lads came out and from the first whistle showed a lot more determination to get back into the game and they were rewarded for their efforts with Jared grabbing the equaliser. Enter the stage Brooklyn. We knew they had no subs, and on a big pitch like ours their defence would be tired. Brooklyn took advantage of that and scored 2 goals to give us a 3-1 lead. A last second goal made the game look a lot closer than it was in the second half.

Well done Brooklyn picking up man of the match. Brooklyn has worked his socks off every week and creates so many chances for himself through his pace and skill, great to see him walk off the pitch with a beaming smile and bagging himself a brace.

Our excellent start to the season has been rewarded with what I am led to believe is two hard games against Kirby Muxloe and Ingles. I’m happy with that as it shows how the squad has developed together and am confident we will give a good account of ourselves over the next two games.
