<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt;">We travelled to Bedale High School in the semi final of the Black Sheep Brewery League Cup.

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt;">We kicked downhill and with the wind in the first half.&nbsp;

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt;">&nbsp;We got off to a great start scoring after 10 mins when a Dan Wright cross ended with a goal mouth melee and Ben Darville slotted home from 6 yards. .

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt;">&nbsp;Five mins later it was 2-0 when a shot from the edge of the area by Wright was adjudged to have been handled by Andrew Shepherd by referee David Holmes.&nbsp; Sam Vernalls coolly scored from the spot.

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt;">Henleys came more into the game but were unable to create any clear cut chances.

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt;">&nbsp;On 32mins a long ball out of defence by Simon Pinkney was chased by Ben Darville who beat the attempted offside trap and chipped Henleys keeper Ian Moore from 15 yards.

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt;">&nbsp;Six minutes later it was 4-0 with a great team goal.&nbsp; Liam Darville on the halfway line played the ball out to Nick Armstrong on the left and ran on for the return pass which he received&nbsp; and ran into the area and crossed for brother Ben to slot home from 6 yards to complete a fine hat trick.

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt;">&nbsp;In first half injury time Henleys pulled a goal back when a right wing cross appeared to be gathered by Police keeper Steve Walker but he spilled it and Ben Palmer forced home the loose ball.

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt;">&nbsp;Half time 4-1

<p class="MsoNormal">Police increased their lead after 52mins when Ben Darville broke down the right before passing inside to Sam Vernalls who took a touch from 15 yards out and coolly shot home into the far left hand corner of the net.

<p class="MsoNormal">After 79mins Gary Shardha played in Ben Darville who slotted home his fourth goal of the match.

<p class="MsoNormal">Henleys reduced the arrears after 84mins when Ben Palmer hit a looping shot from the edge of the area which took a deflection into the top far corner of the net giving Walker no chance.

<p class="MsoNormal">With a minute to go Police scored a seventh when they broke down the left Nick Armstrong passed inside to Vernalls who squared the ball to Adam Pearson on the right and he volleyed a fine cross shot into the far corner of the net.

<p class="MsoNormal">Full time 7-2.

<p class="MsoNormal">Police will now play in the final on Thursday April 24th at 7.30pm at Northallerton Town Ground against either Kildale or Catterick Village who play their semi-final next Sunday 30th March at Kildale.
