Mags Last Min Pen, Snatches Them A Point!

The game started in a scrappy fashion on a pitch that had grass that long you could hardly see the players boots. Di Stefano had control of the game and kept pushing down the right wing through Drew but couldn't reap the rewards for all this effort with hardly any shots being made. Mags got a break in the middle of the Di Stefano half and got of a strike from outside the box which Toby saved and pushed away, the opposition however reacted much quicker and knocked it into the net to make it 1 nil. We made a few changes and instantly started to push back to get the equaliser and it came half way through the first half when poppy got the ball across to Jack in space and he lined up his shot and struck it well past the keeper to make it 1-1. We managed some half chances until half time but nothibg that really troubled the goal.

Second half started the same with lots of pressure on our opposition and with us controlling the game and limiting their possession. For all this the chances we made didn't seem to come and frustration started to grow, until George scored direct from a corner to make it 2-1 and put us in the lead. The game continued in the same fashion with us barely being troubled until the ref gifted mags a pen as archie protected his face from the ball and the ref deemed it a deliberate act, only if we had grass roots VAR. They calmly finished their penalty and seen out the draw. Still unbeaten but had a great chance to make some real distance at the top. Oh well onto the next one
