With The Crown dropping points against Collage Athletic in a surprise defeat this was a must win game for both teams. With the exception of Yanik and Kiaran I have a full squad. I went 5 at the back to cope with their pace giving Lynny the sweeper role. He was superb. Ive discovered his natural position. This was one of our best performances of the teams short history. They couldn't deal with our possession and crisp passing. Michael Lanchester ran the show from midfield and is begging to convince me he may be a midfielder. Micky Barrow never stopped running and Carl must have covered every blade of grass. At the end of the game their manager said that is the best performance he has seen in this league in a very long time against his strongest team. Micky Barrow opened the scoring after a through ball from Michale Lanchester and he out paced and out muscled 3 defenders to get on the end of it to slot home from 10 yards. Michael then scored again shortly after with a superb solo effort beating 4 men. Goal of the season contender. Michael was then unlucky not to claim his hatrick after a deflected shot hit the back of the keeper on its way out and into the goal. The second half didn't produce any goals but we where dominant in possession and defended well. That puts us 2 points of The Crown.
