Just when we thought we were back to league action, the Suffolk FA decided to add another match to our April schedule!
Whilst we were bitterly disappointed this result didn’t mean points on the board, I will never be upset that we had a game instead of not playing.
We started strongly and could have scored after 15 seconds straight from kick off with a lovely 8 piece passing move! The final pin point cross by Gooderham was met by the head of Taylor PARKER who’s header drifted inches wide.
On another day we would have entered the half time break 4-0 ahead, but some great saves from their keeper and some poor shooting from us kept the score to just 1-0. The goal coming from the inform Everard following a lovely weighted pass from Arnold.
The second half was much the same with lots of chances but very little on the score board to show for it.
Efforts from Deeks, Andrews and Cook were all turned away and our many corners amounted to nothing!
The final goal came 10 mins from time when Deeks fed Barrett into the box, Barrett rounded the defender and calmly slotted home from 6 yards out. The celebration was as good as the finish with Oscar running to the cameraman for a “Son” esque team celebration!
They are a good solid side with a great keeper, but our quality shone through.
The RAIDERS remain unbeaten this season in all competitions. Up next Ipswich Town Elite.
