lost at home 3-1 vs unbeaten Royton Town Reserves, some scorelines don't reflect the game and this one is no different, in my opinion we were the better side for long periods of the game although we didn't play anywhere near our capabilities yet we still managed to be 2-0 down after only facing 2 shots on target, we were guilty of not showing composure in front of goal as we did create a lot of opportunities but failed to test the opposition keeper, 1st goal was a total mistake by the ref as a player came back from an offside position to score, 2nd goal was fair enough but should have been defended better and the 3rd was a penalty, Paul got us one back early in the 2nd half to put it 2-1 but we didn't seem to have the extra quality that got us out of jail against Atherton and when the 3rd went in there was no way back although we did try our hardest, Bardo was voted the Wendy by his team mates. The opposition are top of the league and won 5 out of 5 previously so they are obviously no mugs but they were definitely there for the taking today, something is just not clicking for us at the moment whether its the wrong formation or wrong players in wrong positions or were just having a dip in form but i'm sure it will come back round starting next weekend with a tough away trip to tintwistle athletic
