Away league match
Got there early, had a good warm up, looked ready for action and should have been 1-0 down within 30 seconds but for some awful finishing from the home side who put a shot wide from 5 yards with an open net, the warning signs were there and Bolton took advantage of moorsides shakey start to go ahead in the 9th minute after a misplaced pass allowed their striker a clear shot on goal, 14 minutes in and moorside hit back, brandon played a ball into woody whos shot was saved then spilled with woody taking advantage and poking home from close range, the home sides giant striker was causing all kinds of problems with crafty flick ons for the late runners which moorside were struggling to deal with and on the half hour they restored their 1 goal lead. Moorside were glad for the half time whistle so they could regroup and try and put things right. The half time break seemed to do the trick as moorside looked a different team and soon drew level after some persistent play as woody earned himself a brace with a well taken solo effort, moorside smelt blood and went all out for the win and looked like the only team capable of scoring a third, Todd had a good long range effort saved and jack and chaz were causing havoc but we're unable to break the dead lock, Bolton hit back and and also went close with a long range shot that hit the post and a couple of good saves from mitch keeping them out, in the dying moments moorside were awarded a few kick, Tom stepped up and put it just over, as moorside laboured back into position Bolton took a quick goal kick, raced up the other end and after a bit of a scramble in the box the ball fell kindly to an unmarked player who duly smashes home from 6 yards, there was no time left for moorside to react as the ref blew full time just after the restart. A 3-2 loss on the result card didn't really do moorside justice as they dominated the game after pulling level at 2-2, they played better than the previous game against worse opposition but ended up with nothing to show for it, it's a funny old game sometimes but we must regroup and get ready for Saturday's away game vs boothstown the league's early leaders, heads up lads you did well tonight but sometines the luck just goes against you
