Home league match

Preparation for today's game was a disaster, with so many players missing thru injury, holidays and having kids add to that no keeper, a player still unwell from a heavy night and a centre half on deaths door we could have been forgiven for a repeat of last weeks poor display, however the bright sunshine and buzz around agecroft seemed to lighten the mood, new daddy al moran managed to get away for a couple of hours and put in appearance, some heavy drugs for dev perked him up, saxon came out of retirement again and Reece managed to dispose of his night out on the sideline (disgusting btw). A new formation was tried out 4-4-1-1 but we struggled to get to grips with it early on as it looked more of a 4-2-4, chaz and Reece having to work extra hard in the middle to keep control, a pretty even opening exchange was changed mid way thru the half when woodys free kick was deflected in by one of the visitors to give moorside the lead, as the half wore on and players were getting a bit tired the new formation took more shape and we started to dominate and create a few more chances, bardo won a foul on the half way line and Chaz thought he'd have a shot ( at least that what he said after) he lofted in the freekick and bardo managed to put off the keeper allowing the ball to go straight in 2-0, within minutes of the restart it was 3 as curt bombed down the right flank overlapping cal and whipped in a delicious cross for woody to smash home his 2nd with a powerful header.

Half time

Paul and Reece swapped for new lad ben and al moran

The 2nd half started with the visitors trying to pile on the pressure, the moorside rearguard withstood it and broke forward, al moran playing a delightful delayed thru ball for bardo to run onto slotting home to make it 4, only a few minutes later the other sub ben did the same for woody to make it 5, tiredness was kicking in and concentration was slipping which allowed the visitors some hope, they put on a 10 minute spell and managed to pull a couple of goals back, a shame for stand in stopper sean who was having an excellent return to the sticks, crilly came on for Chaz and Paul was re introduced. Moorside took back control of the game and were unlucky not to add to the scoreline, paul put over from close range, al moran was flagged for offside (harshly) on a couple of occasions when in very good positions and the fox had one disallowed (again very harsh) the game was comfortably seen out for a deserved 3 points to the keggers, the work rate and attitude was spot on and playing at home is becoming a real pleasure atm, the big cocks share the wendy this week, ecky playing in goal for the 1st time in 3 years looked very comfortable and his kicking was excellent and dev even though having "man flu" had arguably his best game in a moorside shirt,

Well done keggers let's keep this going
