Another great win for Middleton today, 1st half was all possession for Middleton, but just couldn’t break Blaze down in the final third, and credit to blaze as they had a man sent of early into 1st half.
2nd half few changes in personnel and positioning saw Rhys play wide right and stretching Blaze defensively The first goal came from a quick corner and great cross to the far post where Ethan headed home to continue his rich vain of form in front of goal, that goal was the start of a 10 minute purple patch which saw another couple of goals added to the tally, Rio again with an header, and Rutter marking an intelligent run at the near post and slotting home with ease and class. The forth came from a free kick from 25 yards out which Rio expertly dispatched into the top corner. No clean sheet as Blaze hit a consolation goal with an effort from distance.
Middleton have a great deal of confidence, and the momentum is with them, it’s up to the lads how far the progress this season, but early indications are they can be right in the mix on all fronts come the end of the season. Rio takes man if the match today.
