<p>With the squad being stretched to its limits it was always going to be atough game. Lions started brightly with Elz giving us a deserved lead on 17 minutes. A good finish from Glen's flick header. Stumble's speedy winger dived in the box to win a penalty. No luck as Mike saved only for it to be followed in. Dave made a great goal line clearance, Elz, geoff, ricki and Ram all had shots saved. Ricki made it 2.1 with a smat far post finish. A patient team move led to MOM Ram skinning his man wide and delivering the perfect cross. Just before the half time whistle Stumbe equalised. Stumble took the lead in the second half, Rory levelled with a good header. From then on it was all bad news as Dave and Mike picked up injuries, players ran out of steam all over the pitch and Stumble went on to win 3.6. A proud and incredible league run came to an inevitable but disappointing end. Lions paid the cost for along injury list and missing players. In this division you need to be on your game every week. With injuries so high we will be conceding our match against Quested and looking to get players back for a very tough cup draw home to Cliffe Woods. Come on LIIIIIOOOONNNSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
