Away league match

<p>Both sides fielded strong sides but there was only ever one winner. Lions strong at the back. Mike safe as houses. Glen bossed the aerial game in midfield. Bill sprayed the passes all round. Jas and Elz linked brilliantly up top with Rammy making his jinking runs. Nath and Shea gave the team width up and down the pitch. Jas hit the bar early on as Lions pressed for the lead. First half goals came when Rammy lobbed the keeper and hungry for goals Jason nodded over the line and Elliot raced on to a through ball by Shea and slotted calmly past the keeper.Nath injured his knee after 25 mins, Ricki on and a switch of positions. Second half and Bill, capped a fine performance in his last game of the season chipping the keeper from out wide. Cross or shot? Doubt he will tell you. Brad and Geoff on, disrupted play a bit with Brad feeling the effects of a bad night. A mistimed tackle by Brad presented Rifles with a penalty and the chance was taken. Lions sacrificed some flair to stay solid and ensure there was no way back for Rifles. Lewis on late for Macca and looked assured. Rory, MOM great control at the back and good distribution. One league game to go to make history with an unbeaten record.98 goals so far this season in league and cup let's smash the 100 mark next week. LIIIIOOOONNNSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
