Home cup match

<p>Lions faced a decent outfit from Park Regis setting up with the same 11 as last week with a full, strong bench. Ricki broke his scoring drought putting Lions one up with a well controlled low drilled shot. The second came by way of an own goal thanks to a great cros from Blanno. Lions got to half time 2.0 up owing to asolid well organised display. The back 4 looked super confident winning nearly every challenge. Glen was getting his foot in breaking down Park's moves through midfield. Ricki was loking to break forwards boosted by his goal. Ram was seeing less of the ball but tested Park with his attacking runs.Blanno and Ryan were immense, high work rate impressing in defence and attack. Elz came to life in the second half adding 2 more assists and a goal. Gaffer's orders were to press hard and double the lead by the hour.and that's what the team gave him. Elz throughball, Ryan showed great pace and strength to get in front of the defender and finished brilliantly. Rory headed home from Elz corner and Park were beaten. 5 changes made which led to adisorganised look to the centre of midfield. Chances came and went at both ends as Park flooded bodies forwards. Elz got a cracking solo goal winning a 1 on 1 chase from the halfway line and finished in the corner. Mke was forced in to several great late saves as Park threw bodies up against a Lions side which had switched off in too many places and fortunately only 2 late goals were conceded. Geoff was lively. Pete and Lewis both came close to scoring on attacking forrays. Ryan Wilson and Bill struggled to keep the shape in the middle as the game opened right up. Bill would have had a row with himself if he was the only one there. Blame lack of sleep and a couple of bad misses. For 80 minutes this was a fantastic performance and has given Lions the chance to meet top opposition countywide. MOM Ryan Foster.
