<p>Lions set up for the final game of the season missing a few players and needing to avoid defeat to make history. Park Lane dug in and made it hard for Lions in the first half and got themselves a half time lead with a good break away goal as they looked for an upset.
<p>No panic in the Lions camp as the belief was there that we would turn the game around. Elz equalised with a great low strike in to the bottom corner following great work by Nath and Jason. Brad made it 2,Lions 100th goal of the season, with a towering header, Nath and Jason made it 4.1 and history was made. On the day Pete did a good job in goal, Macca suffered an early injury. Rory. Brad, Lewis and Dan stayed strong at the back with Dan standing out. Glen's passing was accurate in the middle, Brad and Ricki ensured midfield was won. Jas and Elz continually tested the defence. Geoff ran hard and Martin came on with a bag of tricks. Nath and Shea worked the wide areas with Nathan deserving MOM.
<p>What a season. Unbeaten 19 wins, 1 draw, no losses. A superb goal difference, with an ultra tight defence and attacking flair.
<p>Promotion every season taking us from division 5 to the heady heights of the senior section. The last 4 years have been incredible Three times league runners up. now Premiership champions. 4th cup final.
<p>Next Sunday at 4pm we go for the double in the Senior Charity Cup. Let's lift it Lions one more huge effort needed.
