After two defeats and a draw so far in 2011 Mary Dendy finally secured their first victory of the year after comprehensively defeating the league’s basement club Juno Utd at William Scholes Playing Fields.
Luke Watkin - man of the match against Juno United

Dendy showed their intent as early as the third minute when Luke Watkin headed home the opened from a cross from captain Andy Currie and by the half hour mark they had added two more . Martin Brunker made it eight for the season as he made it 2-0 and top scorer Matt Morris made it 3-0. Juno came back immediately with the dangerous Lee Ellis reducing the arrears but Morris killed the game as he made it 4-1 just five minutes before half time.

Chris Scarle made it five in the second half and MAN OF THE MATCH Luke Watkin made it six with twenty five minutes remaining. Juno did create chances of their own however with Luke Dippnall always at the centre of the action . They hit the post twice before Dippnall added a consolation ten minutes from time.
