A Strong Start But Loss Of Concentration

First half we started off strong with an abundance of nice passing and movement. The team worked really well together all helping each other out in attack and offence. Jacob with a fantastic goal setting us off meant we got into the lead quickly. Good defensive partnership from Alfie and Seb, and the cool calm and collected Dylan meant they didn’t have a chance in the first half. The work rate from Alex and James was phenomenal making sure they didn’t have much of the ball. Harry M with loads of chances and calmly converting two of them. Max and Jacob both providing lots of assistance down the wings, both coming close to grabbing themselves some more goals.

Second half wasn’t good enough. We lost concentration and got greedy. A scenario that is becoming increasingly apparent. The boys were pre-warned to keep the concentration and keep working as a team throughout the whole game and not just parts. Their goal came from lack of tracking back as Seb was left four on one in front of goal which isn’t acceptable. Luckily for us they weren’t clinical in their finishing but on another day we would’ve been punished.

Overall a strong first half but the second half wasn’t up to our standard. Well done to the boys, enjoy your weekend!
