Loss Of Concentration Cost Us!

I don’t think the score line shows the full game. I thought we played some really nice football. Lovely passages of play and really good teamwork linking it all together. Sadly we just couldn’t find the net. The boys were told in the first half to play attacking football and get loads of shots off which they sadly didn’t do and we got punished for it. The second half was always going to be tough especially 1-0 down. The wind was harsh and the boys started well passing and moving the ball in short spaces and on the ground. As the game went on the tempo dropped and that’s not how we play. Everything was slow, either Sean passing it out to the defence, red bulls weren’t pressing at all which should have meant we had more time to bring the ball up the pitch quickly but we were too slow every time and Sean saved us a number of times being punished. As the game went on it looked like it was going to stay 1-0, Alex got through on goal with a lovely through ball from Jacob down the wing, sadly Alex couldn’t capitalise but we tried again. The last 5 minutes everyone just switched off, concentration needs to be for the full game. If not we will get punished and that’s exactly what happened. Another 3 goals in the space of around 5 minutes really made the game look a lot more one sided than what it was sadly.

Sean a very well deserved motm, need to take our chances more and not let our concentration drop at any point.
