It was a great day to be back at footy after a while away.
The team were in good spirits looking forward to the game and looking good in their odd socks supporting autism awareness week.
Both teams started off strong Oasis having more possession at the beginning but Barkhill stuck to the game plan and began to get on top. Eddie kept us in the game with some important saves going into half time 0-0.
Barkhill went out into the second half feeling more confident after a good team talk with an own goal putting us into the lead early in the second half. Oasis packed out their defence parking the bus but Barkhill found a way through with Anthony putting us 2- 0 up. A little lack of concentration from Barkhill allowed Oasis back in to the game 2-1. Barkhill pulled themselves together with some good team play and Ben C scoring, which was disallowed for offside. The boys didn't let this stop them though continuing to try and play the Barkhill way resulting in Elijah scoring the 3rd goal making it a 3-1 win for Barkhill in the first game back.
It was a tough decision for MoM which was shared between Patrick and Jacob.
Great performance for the first game back after a 14 week break.
Onwards and upwards for Barkhill ?
