Well that was a hugely disappointing end to what's been a massively positive summer league campaign for us.
I don't think any of us saw that coming. I was SO wanting to win that division for our boys, but it wasn't to be.
Football makes no sense sometimes. How on earth we can out-football and deservedly beat a division 1 side one week and then be unrecognisable from what we are 7 days later defies belief.
Our passing was off pretty much all game and we just weren't at the races from the first minute.
But I've always said that we're a team that learns more from bad days than good days. And knowing these bunch of lads as I do, I know that will be the case after today too. But that HAS to be the case.
We learn, stick together, keep believing and move on. And that needs to be the case for everyone in the Barkhill family.
So as I said at the end... one dream goes and we have 2 dreams left in the shape of the summer league cup final and the tournament on Sunday. And our boys are ?? capable of making those dreams true.
