MATCH REPORT BY COACH DAVE

This morning was always gonna be a big test for us. A strong team with technically gifted players, with two blokes up front. If they don't win the league I'll be amazed.

But me and Al were very pleased with our boys today. First half we played some lovely stuff, worked really hard and the communication, belief and physicality was much better. I personally thought we were very unlucky to go into the break 2-1 down.

Second half their early goal knocked us and we began to get a bit sloppy as we (understandably) tired. Gaps started to appear and they took advantage.

So yes there were things we could have done better, and we'll get there. But today was about seeing a reaction to the second half of last week and hopefully everyone involved this morning will agree that reaction was there for all to see ????

So, many positives to take and focus on from today.

Brilliant to have Nathan back on the pitch with us, and absolutely brilliant to see Theo, Paula, Brandon and Vinny ????

And lastly, and I don't normally single players out, but a special mention to our defensive unit of Eddie, Dylan, Harry and Noah.

Those two blokes will cause any team problems but I thought our defence was superb today. In fact arguably the one frustration of today was we played those two really well and then other players pop up with 2 or 3 worldies ?????

I know some of you likely think our attack minded formation is bonkers, and yes of course its brave.

But I personally thought those 4 lads coped superbly with it today ??

A big step forward ????
