Match Report - MAGS JUVENTUS U11 - 29 May 2021

MATCH REPORT BY CAPTAIN PATRICK

Our last league game of the season today against Mags Juventus who remain unbeaten. I was picked as captain which made me very happy and proud.

The match started slowly with nobody dominating the game. We got a corner after a quick break caught Mags out. Joe put in a great cross from the corner and Ben Roberts raced on to the ball at the back post to put us 1-0 up. Fantastic start from us and Mags looked rattled. To be fair Mags regained their composure and scored two quick goals to lead 2-1 at half time. It was annoying to concede two goals so fast, but we needed to stay sharp.

The second half started like the first with nobody really dominating but Mags slightly sharper to the second ball. They attacked a little better than us and forced some great saves from Eddie. We tried hard to get back into the game, but Mags were very strong and a lack of concentration from us cost us 3 quick goals which made the game safe for Mags.

Really disappointing to lost our last game but on a positive note it's been a great first season for me with Marshalls. I have loved every minute of playing for Dave and the lads and I can't wait for next season now. Many more triangles to come over the next few years. Thanks Dave and everyone at Marshalls for making me feel so welcome. Roll on the 21/22 season.
