I know that some of our boys get frustrated at times with how we do things in terms of trying to ensure that every one of our boys gets game time every week, even though me and Al know we don't always get it right.
And for me, this morning proved exactly why we have tried to do that from day one.
So many quality players missing today, and then we lost further quality in Jacob and Joe going off in the first half.
I would suggest there is no other team in the land that would be able to cope with what we faced today, especially playing a team that has won 5 out of 5.
But we fully deserved that result. In fact I'm really frustrated that we didn't get the win. I thought we deserved 3 points considering our circumstances.
But I cant remember a tight game ever going our way in the past 7 seasons. That's just us ?????
So hugely proud of our 13 boys today ????
Was it vintage Barkhill? No. But we played the better footy on a pudding of a pitch in windy conditions, which didn't suit us at all.
Those 13 diamonds made an old man very, very proud today. Not least because the knee slide was back in force ????
