A tough pitch to play proper footy on, but we started brightly. Seth and Dylan, paired at centre back for the first time, looking very strong ??
Jacob won (yet another) penalty via a clear foul, but despite a great strike, Elijah unfortunately hit his effort over the bar. This was closely followed by Jordan hitting the foot of the post after some fine work.
But we deservedly took the lead from a free kick from at least 30 yards out from Theo which somehow evaded everyone to bounce into the bottom corner.
Soon after we doubled our lead, an own goal from a great Elijah corner (goal credited to Elijah).
Half time 2-0 to Barkhill.
Second half Halewood started strongly and pulled a goal back. But we continued to play confident football and managed to score again through a lovely strike from the right hand corner of the box from Joe, straight into the opposite bottom corner of the goal. This was shortly followed by a tidy finish from Jordan to make it 4-1.
A deserved victory for Barkhill, with some lovely, confident footy on show and a strong performance against a tough side ????
