<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">Despite many doubtful calls from referee Mr G. Orilla, the Casuals were reasonable lucky to go into the dressing room four nil down at half time. Cosmos penetrated the Casuals defence like a virulent disease with no cure and by 45 minutes’ a priest was being called in to give the last rights.
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">However, the Marist side sprang from their metaphorical sick beds in the second half and took the game back to the Red menace. Although Cosmos continued to go close on occasion and did on 62 minutes score another, it was Casuals who made the most of the play as the Athletic side stepped off the pedal. The Toy brothers notched three goals while Dave Downes aided the cause with another two fortunate deflections.
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">Big Russ Eades had a stand out at the back for Casuals ensuring the Cosmos forwards were relatively ineffective in the second spell.

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">With Andy Buchanan back in goal the foundation is looking stronger. And the game the world can’t wait for – Casuals v Shamrocks will be the tester for how far the Casuals have – or haven’t - come.
