Match Report - KINSALE - 01 Sep 2018

Handed their 1st starts of the season and positional changes where Peter in Goal , Aidan left back, David right back , Charlie left wing , Adam C Midfield and Trevor right mid .Only 4 players kept a position from our previous league matches .The Cups are a great opportunity for lads to fight for the League starting 11 places .Kinsale went 1 nil up when a free was dropped back post between keeper , left back and left winger with the Kinsale forward quickest to react. Josh was working really hard up front and Charlie hit the post mid 1st half .Trevor had a few chances 1st half making great runs .Adam Mcgrath in the middle was been man marked but he still was having an excellent battling game .At half time we tried 4-4-2 bringing on Jordan and Jordan had 3 1v 1 chances that he spurred. We where caught on the break when Fionn failed to clear and the Kinsale forward took the gift with a finish under the keeper. Squad players or not the Mallow side showed fine determination and Adam Mcgrath scored from over 30 yards to make a great final 20 mins .Jonah , Jordan and Trevor would all spurn close range chances .But been in the right place to get chances is a good positive and we will go to the training field the sharpen our finishing for the League game next week .A good positive Cup display .
