Castleview 2-3 Mallow Utd, Dom/jack/charlie

We took the lead when Jonah put in an excellent cross and Dominic pounced on a scramble 2nd ball to force the ball over the line .The team was laughing and relaxed and trying things that they never tried in previous games and against sides like Castleview you don't relax and we where punished from a number of hesitant clearances. Jonah was getting in a number of times and a goal was coming when good work from Killian in an unfamiliar midfield role would send Charlie away and his pull back to Jack was sent into the top corner ( His 30th Goal or assist in 20 games ) take a bow Jack .We only played in patches 1st half and Castleview scored a cracker to make 1-1 But their goal to make it 2-2 was very scrappy .Half time couldn't come quick enough , We relaxed reset and knew the real side had to take to the field in the 2nd half .Gibby was back to his best in the 2nd half and Chopper and Dom didn't give any chances in open play as Fitzy and Dave scrapped away and made it very hard For Castleview .Killian was growing into his midfield role and Trevor and Jack ran themselves into the ground continuing the high work rate they have been giving all season long .Charlie, Josh , Jonah ,Dom and Trevor all would have chances but it was another fine set piece delivered from Killian that Charlie would sweep home .Dean was a big loss on the wing but when Charlie is available he does bring an added goal threat to the side .The defence especially Fionn and Thomas stood up to a few more attacks and Jordan gave some pace and effort to see out this tough hard fought win and leaves the side needing 3pts at home on Saturday V Bandon to be crowned Champions.
