MALAHIDE RUN RIOT IN THE DUBLIN MOUNTAINS!

As we embark on the bank holiday weekend, the team grabbed yet another extraordinary win, triumphing over Parkvale FC with a commanding score of 7-2. The match experienced a somewhat slower than usual start, with the first goal arriving in the 12th minute, but it was a goal of pure brilliance! It all began when Matty spotted Nathan near the halfway line on the left side. Nathan exhibited exquisite ball control and passed it down the line to Cillian. Cillian artfully sidestepped the fullback, breezed past him and the center-back, and then delivered a perfectly weighted cross across the six-yard box, allowing Luke to net his 9th goal of the season.

Throughout the first half, we unleashed attempt after attempt, and our second goal came as Gavin completed the first of his hat-trick, making it 2-0 firing into the bottom corner of the goal from 18 yards out. When the halftime whistle blew, we had already registered 13 attempts, including some magnificent through balls, highlighting our utter dominance.

The second half kicked off in the same dynamic fashion, and just four minutes after the restart, Cillian found the net from the edge of the box with a sublime finish, thanks to a pinpoint laser pass from Toby, extending our lead to 3-0. In the 54th minute, Luke was brought down in the box after skillfully evading the fullback, earning us a penalty. Gearoid confidently stepped up to take the penalty, and after a clever 1-2 exchange with the keeper ??, he slotted it into the bottom corner from close range, pushing our lead to 4-0.

The goals continued to pour in, with Toby adding another goal just three minutes later from a splendid long ball pass from Oliver M. The free-kick originated from our own half, making the score 5-0. We continued to exert our dominance in the midfield battle, with Finn, Gearoid, and Gavin orchestrating our plays, setting up attacks one after another. Within another three minutes, Gavin found the net once again, bringing the score to 6-0. However, as we eased off the gas pedal after the sixth goal, we did concede two goals within a seven-minute period in the latter stages of the game.

The final goal occurred during injury time when Toby thundered the ball off the crossbar, and Gavin was perfectly positioned to finish with a powerful strike from 20 yards out when it landed at his feet. In the closing moments, both Conor B and his opponent received yellow cards for what the referee deemed unsporting behavior.

This was a splendid team performance, with each member of the squad contributing to our well-deserved victory.
