Vegas boys had entered this game on the back of beating 2nd placed Dover Castle with 10 men the week before. They looked jaded and lacking in will-to-work, it cost them dearly in the 2nd minute when, after concedeing an early throw deep in their half, they allowed an opposition midfielder to cross unchalleneged from the byline that was toe poked in by Winston Fowler for an own goal.

Within 10 miutes Vegas were on level terms when Moore Jones crossed a free-kick for Robert Webber to head into the top corner from a few yards out. The lack of work rate and commitment continued as moments after equalizing Ciudad took the lead after some commical defending allowed an opposition attacker to dribble into the box unchallenegd and pass to a teamate to tap in leaving Matthew Summers no chance.

A game of poor quality resumed with Vegas failing to find any rhythem and a disjointed and uninventive passage followed with Ciudad loking the more likely to score the next goal. Half time came and the Vegas boys walked off looking a shadow of the side that had battled for 7 wins on the bounce.

A half time substitution of Harry Pedersen for Zak Garner Purkis gave Vegas more impetus going forward and the 2nd half the side looked transformed despite continuing to find it very difficult to break down a solid Ciudad team. Half chances came and went and with 30mins on the clock a great delivery by Paul 'Trigz' Reid was glanced in by in form Striker Steven Bruce. For the reamining 30mins Vegas had Ciudad penned into their half and great contributions by substitutes Hussein Hussein and Robert Taylor allowed Vegas to apply constant pressure. Some last ditch defending and some real commitment by the Ciudad defenders kept out the Vegas boys for their first dropped points of the season.
