vs Streatham Vale

Home league match

Magical Vegas threw away a two goal lead in added time against a Streatham Vale side had not troubled them for the 90 minutes previously.

The game began with Vegas looking very focused but a little tentative on the ball. Their movement off the ball didn't get the service it deserved but man the match Shane McNamara and Hussein Hussein looked comfortable .

Jacob Bond, as so many times this season, provided the assist after 30 minutes for Abiola Baloqun who shot low into the corner to make it 1-0. The game moved steadily with both sides cancelling each other out.

When Vegas came in at half-time they knew the opposition were dangerous but they were keeping them at arms length. That continued in the second half with vegas probing and making half-chances without making anything clear cut. The pressure told eventually when Baloqun squared for Kadeem Gutzmore, who came off the right wing to bundle home the ball under heavy pressure from the defender.

Kaleb King, on for the injured Deondre Dewar in the first half, had a lobbed effort drift agonisingly wide to make it 3-0 but the game looked to be petering out when a petulant challenge from a Vale player sent Bond crashing into the fence and goal as the ball was running out of play. with ten minutes left he had to leave the field and spelled a change in tide in the game.

Vale started dominating midfield and pressure told just after the 90th minute when a cross field pass got in behind the Vegas back four for the first time, the square ball found the opposite winger at the back post who squeezed the ball in with 2 minutes later.

Now the pressure was on, but Vegas lost the ball at every opportunity they had to keep it, and when clearances were rushed on the edge of their box the ball fell to a Vale attacker 10 yards out who scuffed the ball into the far corner.

To the utter disbelief of everyone. Two points dropped and a game the boys must learn from when they're in situations like that in the future.
