Magical Vegas FC fired out a warning to all sides in the Premier Division last night after a slick display of total football earned them an 2-0 win over ST. Pauls Celtic to put them within one win of the Division 1 title. Needing just 2 wins from their last 5 games the 'Vegas Boys' didn't look like they wanted to wait longer than neccessary as they dictated a fast and furious tempo on their counterparts. St. Pauls simply could not keep up with the movement, skill and accurancy of their opponents who maintained possesion and threatened to score on almost every occassion they went forward. With shots going just wide or the referee wrongly penalising the attackers, Vegas piled forwards without having anything to show for their complete and utter dominanace.

Paul 'Trigz' Reid broke the deadlock fiftenn minutes before half time with a deflected effort from outside the box. Only a facial injury that required lengthy treatment to centre back Tarik Allag slows Vegas down as they held their lead until haf time. Despite the quality of their play the atmosphere was somewhat subdued at half time as a collective realisation maybe hit Vegas that they should have been 3 or 4 up.

Perhaps due to the intensity of the first half, the second half started slowly with vegas controlling the tempo but not getting striker Steven Bruce any opportinities to shot on goal despite their classy link up play in their build up. The game got a bit broken up and Vegas's indicipline cost them some yellow cards and some momentum but St. Pauls never truely threatened as centre back pair Nick Loblack and Allag mopped up any attacks coming their way with ease. With 20mins to go Patrick Moore Jones siezed on a poor clearence to advance into the box before being obstructed for a penalty that he smashed against the bar to the dispair of the captain. However, great movement by Harry Pedersen, up from right back, caused havoc in the box that allowed sub Shazad Latif to shoot which Trigz back heeled in from 2 yards out.

Big performances throughout the team meant any of the back 4 and the midfield 3 could have been named man of the match but the decisive contirbution from Trigz meant he had possibly pulled the trigger on the league one title race.
