Magical Vegas eased into the next round of the Tom Keane Memorial Cup with a comfortable victory against bottom of division 2 side Regent Legend.
The attitude was important to keep in focus after the strong performance against Dover and they managed the first half perfectly.
Playing the simple pass on every occasion they passed the ball with intensity and accuracy. The first goal of the night came from Perry Price who followed up his own blocked free-kick with an inside foot volley that found the left side of the goal with the keeper unsighted.
A second followed when Jacob Bond made (another) unstoppable run that due to foul in the box after he had left 3 players in his wake. Price stepped up and hit it high to the right to make it 2-0.
The third was created by Bond when he found the ball at the back of the area after a Price corner flew past everyone, he looked up and rolled a soft pass into the path of Patrick Moore Jones running onto the ball from 20 yards. His strike was straight and accurate as it found the roof of the net as the goalie could only watch.
The football continued to flow and soon after a neat flick from Price on the edge of the box found the run of Moore Jones who cut back on himself and returned a pass into the feet of Price - he fired home to complete a 30 minute hat-trick.
There was little resistance from Regent who had a decent front man but no players to work off him. Chad King and Sam Bader dealt with everything that came in their direction with the former earning a flawless man of the match award.
Alby Miller and Harry Pedersen on the other hand only managed to injure themselves within the first 45 minutes which was the last thing the manager needed considering their brilliant performances in their recent victories. Nevertheless, with a reshuffle Daniel Loughney made his first appearance for the side this year with a cool display at CB.
Kadeem Gutzmore made it 5 which he latched onto Bader's outside of the boot pass on the edge of the area to dummy the keeper and tap home. Bond then provided his third assist of the half when he slid in Gutzmore for a 6th just before half time.
The second half became complicated when Bond went off injured with a pulled calf muscle which left Vegas with 10 men. Their level dropped and the half was bitty and disjointed. Nevertheless they were able to win the second half 1-0 when Moore Jones lofted a pass to Gutzmore, now playing in the right of middle four, who calmly completed a hat-trick of his own after going round the keeper.
Huge game next week against Streatham Vale who pulled 2 goals back in injury time before Christmas to break the hearts of the Vegas boys. They will know they will need to be at their best for 95 minutes in order to come away with the three points they deserved in their last meeting.
