Away league match

A game of football is NEVER over.

The 'Vegas boys' walked in at HT against Cricklewood Wanderers 5-0 up and must have got confused. They'd taken the lead and doubled it through Patrick Moore Jones within the first 15 minutes; he twice robbed the centre back of the ball and lobbed the goalie with one effort and smashed a second.

Soon after, centre midfielder's Jacob Bond and Luke Morgan played perfectly weighted passes into the path of lightening left winger (and top goalscorer) Perry Price who lobbed one effort in and passed in the other for 4-0 within 40minutes.

Hussein Hussein continued his goalscoring form this season when he leathered an effort into the roof of the net following a penalty box scramble just before the HT whistle.

After HT Cricklewood came out with an extremely high press and Vegas had seemed to weather the early storm but when the oppositions best player picked the ball up 30yards out he fired a brilliant shot that (somehow) evaded all the bodies in the box and nestled in the far corner for 5-1.

Patrick Moore Jones was replaced by Kaleb King and the balance of the side was shifted in the wrong direction. Suddenly wave after wave of attacks where coming at a Vegas side that seemed unable to deal with the pressure, the pressure told when 3 goals in the space of 10 minutes rocked team who couldn't get their heads around what was happeneing.

However, with the side relying on the great reflexes of (returning) Matthew Summers in goal to keep them ahead. Perry Price received the ball just inside his own half with two players for company. He squeezed through both and proceeded to wind and weave his way past player after player (about 6) until he struck and unbelievable effort from 25 yards out that bent away from the goalie and into the top corner. We may as well give him the goal of the season now because it was the piece of magic that Vegas needed to get a stronghold on the game again.

Cricklewood then scored again on the break but with 10 minutes to go Vegas saw the game out with some tidy game management (finally) to win and extraordinary game of football 6-5. Its entertainment at its best but lets try not to give the manager a heart attack before he 30 ok lads?! Cheers
