After the shambles of the week before, Magical Vegas opitamised a good team ethic for their game against a physical Clissold Casuals side.

Clissold set up with 10men behind the ball from the kick off and looked to counter attack on the break leaving Vegas to enjoy roughly 75% of the possession. After struggleing to get strike duo Shazad Latif and Paul (trigz) Reid in behind the Casuals defense Vegas found themselves 1-0 down via a scortching free-kick that gave goalie Matt Summer no chance as it nestled in the top corner from 25 yards out.

Patience was important and the Vegas boys didn't panic and began to create openings for an equalizer, most notably when Trigz almost lobbed the goalie from 25 yards out after breaking the offside trap. Not long after a Latif shot was dummed in the box my man of the match Hussein Hussein allowing the returning Tarik Allag to prod home.

Maintaining composure was always going to be important as Clissold continued to frustrate attacks by keeping space to a minimum. This continued after half time until good footwork by Shane McNamara follwed by a delightful chipped pass allowed Trigz to get to the ball before the goalie and tap in to an empty net to give vegas a 2-1 lead.

After a triple substitution and an even more attacking outlook, Vegas put the game to bed after a stunning strike by Hussein flew past the goalie into the top corner from 25 yards out for his second goal in as many games. As Clissold threw men forward space was left in behind and Steven Bruce bagged a goal after great work by Luke Morgan had released him one on one with the goalie. In fairness, chances kept coming and vegas should have scored more but tougher tests lie ahead in what could be a memorable season for the purple panthers.
