Ad-Moral Damaging Defeat For Vegas Boys

<p>Admiral Islington took a giant step towards winning the Islington Premier League with a comfortable victory over an out-of-sorts Magical Vegas FC.&nbsp;<p>With the league delicately poised, Admiral dared not to lose and allow Islington 49rs an opportunity to snatch the league from their grass. As had been apparent in the last few game Vegas started very slowly and seemed confused how to deal with the long-ball tactics of Admiral. That diagonal long ball to the big striker was causing all sorts of problems and when a flick on was poorly cleared an oppotunity was presented to the Admiral left winger who slipped it into the net to make it 1-0.&nbsp;<p>Vegas were not creating any positive attacking play and often clearances fell to Admiral defenders who found time and space to pick out their passes from deep within their half. Admirals 2nd goal occurred in similar circumstances to the first when a deflection off a defender fell kindly for a Admiral midfielder who (again) found the back of the net in a one-on-one situation.&nbsp;<p>Vegas tightened up and other than a few half-chances from distace they struggled to get in behind what was a solid Admiral back 4.&nbsp;<p>There were flashes of decent play by the vegas boys but the ability to hold the ball fro long enough for the team to push out was costing them. Admiral scored their 3rd on 0mins when a miscommunication allowed the attacker to simple lift the ball over the head of the onrushing Ozzie Barkat. Another defensive mistake allowed another one-on-one, which was scored before a ridiculous scramble in the box was scored despite vegas having opportunities to clear on a couple of occasions.&nbsp;<p>By far the most docile performance of the season by a team that had shown incredible heart on their 6 game winning run. They will need to re-energise themselves for another similar run if they are to achieve the success they have laid a foundation for over the past 2 months. &nbsp;
