The pinks were in action for the final time this year as they hosted the first round of the league cup against Seacroft Colts
The game started well with an early goal from Jack after a brilliant cross field ball from Kall to bob then a pin point cross from Bobby over on the left. The second goal soon followed after the opposition defender put the ball in his own net after Kall crossing in from the right. Liam came on and soon scored a 30 yard thunder bolt straight into the top corner. Seacroft finished the half on top, forcing a great save from Harley, but then scored on the break, leaving Harley flat footed on the goal line to make the score 3-1 going into the break
The second half began with Seacroft surging forward in numbers looking to get back into the game. they were unlucky not to get at least one, but the pinks weathered the storm, with excellent defending from Alex and Brajan, before digging in and producing a fantastic last 25 minutes. Some great footwork from Evan on the edge of the box gave him some space to unleash an unstoppable shot to put the game to bed. this was soon followed by the fifth as Uzzy played in Jack for his second. the hat trick was completed by Jack minutes later after a great solo effort. The pick of the bunch was from Paul, who had moved to right back. he made a great run, with Bobby playing the ball back for Paul to launch a great effort over the keeper to make it 7-1. The final goal came from Lucas who had made a run to back stick for a tap in after another good cross from Evan.
A great way to end the year. A great team effort. now the lads have a well deserved break ready to go again in the new year!!
