Away league match
Mountview had a chance in the first minute when the big mountview striker got in but his shot was tame pulled wide loughshinny then went straight uo the other end of the pitch Rory O'Connor was released and dinked the ball over the keeper only for his effort to be cleared just before going in. The clearnace only went as far as Evan Spencer who danced he way into the box and was brought down by the onrushing defender. O'connor stepped up and sent keeper the wrong way striking low into the bottom left corner. Loughshinny probbed again and from a Spencer corner O'Connor rised highest to head just over the bar a few minutes later. It was 2 nil soon after when another Spencer corner found Callum Lynch at the back post to loop his header back across goal and into the far corner. Loughshinny were exploiting Mountviews weak zonal marking and from another Spencer corner on the 18th minute found O'Connor at the front post who glanced his header home this time to make it 3-0. 1 minute later a poor back pass from the mountview midfielder ended up breaking for O'Connor who struck from 20 yard was saved and parried into the feet of Conor O'Neill who had the simplest task on passing into an empty net to make it 4-0. Cian Ensor finnaly got a run at the mountview full back and got by him easily and whipped a super ball into the box but it evaded everybody and the danger for mountview was relieved again. Mark Delves was a menace on the right side aswell for loughshinny and won a few of the corners the goals came from. Loughshinny really blew there opponents away coming out of the traps so fast. It was a clinical display. Kingsley and Lynch had their work cut out with the big man up top for mountview but dealt with him very well. Mountview seemed to be attacking down their right side a lot in the first half and Josh Hughes stood firm and made some crucial Interceptions and clearances. 4-0 at the break. Message at half time was more of the same but to get the next goal to kill off any hope of a comeback and that happened on 65 mins when Spencer found O'Connor in a heap of space being played onside by the mountview midfielder who simply struggled with the fitness and the running of O'Neill, David Kenny and Spencer and O'Connor lifted the ball over the keeper who was well off his line from 30 yards to seal the game. Lougshinng defended very well throughout the game Matthew Wade in goal only had to content with tame strikes on goal as the Lougshinny defence of Ryan Fagan, Lynch, Kingsley and Hughes stood firm and put their bodies on the line to win 2nd balls in the area. Ross Connell came on for Delves Oisin Mcgirl came on for O'Connor eho got his 2nd hat trick of the season with 10 to go after a shirt spell of illness. Scott Crowley came on for Spencer who racked up 4 assists today. A super performance all round from loughshinny. Another clean sheet and 5 goals seems us return to the top of the table overtaking Derry Rovers who won well on Friday night.
