Late kick off away today for the u9 Blues against the HGS Tigers who had recently been inormed they that they were moving up a division, so this was going to be a tough game.
The main benefit of the late kick off meant we did miss the worst of the downpour.
For the first few minutes the Colts applied continual pressure not letting the Tigers out of there half.
After another battle in the middle of the pitch with Arthur tackling and Henry beating his man with quick feet, driving forward timing a through pass to Oscar to perfect the Colts took the lead. Oscars goal streak continues as he slid the ball past the keeper

A long throw from Cian having spotted a darting run from Henry found him clear through, holding off defenders Henry fired past the keeper. A deserved 2nd goal

After a quick break and the sunshine now nearly out the Blues were straight back on the attack and from a corner cleared to the edge of the box George chipped shot floated over the keeper and into the top corner .

Going behind kicked HGS Tiger back into life and nabbed a goal on the break

The Colts were hanging on now and HGS having us pinned back for long periods of time. Many last ditch tackles required but the boys hung on to seal the victory in a close contest.
